NFL Network
Shaun’s television career began as a researcher with NFL Network where he provided historical and statistical content for live daily and weekend shows, including NFL Total Access and NFL GameDay. He worked closely with on-air talent and producers to help ensure accuracy and informative information. Additionally, Shaun regularly pitched show segments and special programming story ideas.
Along with the regular duties, Shaun helped to develop Hall of Fame-focused special programming and NFL.com’s Thursday Night Football programming, in which he and his colleagues were nominated for a Sports Emmy.
Gas Money
Also going by the name “Beer Money,” Shaun was the game producer, researcher, and writer for the sports trivia show, “Gas Money.” The weekly show aired on both the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento CBS affiliates, as well as NBC Sports Bay Area. In addition to writing all of the trivia questions, working with the on-air talent, and managing the on-camera action, Shaun post-produced several episodes.
The James Brown Show
Established as a studio program, “The James Brown Show,” hosted by Sports Emmy Award-winner James Brown, shot 13 episodes on-site at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and tasked Shaun to manage the local production. And creating a studio atmosphere in a museum was no easy feat.
Along with co-managing the hiring of crew, production gear, staging equipment, and coordinating with the HOF, Shaun served as the stage manager for the show tapings.
Unscripted TV
A firm believer that one should be skilled at several production positions, Shaun has worked on several unscripted, or “reality,” productions. On any given show, pilot, or sizzle reel, he has been a producer, camera operator, audio tech, or gaffer and grip.
Shaun even co-created a potential unscripted show, “We Bought A School,” which was strongly considered by a well-known network before an unforeseen circumstance derailed the project.
